I learned Hot for Teacher. Intro, rhythm, solo….whole song. I’ve played guit for 35 yrs, I don’t think I really understood what a bada$$ he was til I followed him. Took me a couple of weeks to master it and Gawd was it fun to play. And you gotta keep playing it to keep up the chops. I’d stumble through it like a briar patch now. EVH was a genius player and composer.

The older I get the more amazing do I find the composers of music. We all have enjoyed being around folks who were really, really good musicians but they seldom seen able to create tunes that are enjoyable and showcase their talent - anyone who can play Vivaldi is amazing but to compose what he did? Wow.
